My Late wife Tomomi Ichimoto-Scott and I started Tomei's Wine Bar and Wine Shop in 2004 to bring the California wine style to Japan and the unique tasting experience only found in the California Wine Country.
We visit each of our wineries and purchase directly from them, bringing you the best cost performance wines from Napa, Sonoma, Monterey
and other premium wine regions in California. Located in Yokohama, Tomei's Wine Bar and Wine Shop offers select wines
from California's best wine regions direct to you by the glass, the bottle, or the box. Whether you are new to wine and wish to learn more,
or an acomplished wine drinker interested in something new and unique, Tomei's Wine Bar and Wine Shop has something for everybody.

It All Started in Tuscany, Italy
Tomeiは、私の母の旧姓でもあり、イタリアトスカーナ地方のLucca(ルカ)と言う町の丘に由来します。
祖父Veluntiniと祖母TomeiはLuccaからサンフランシスコへ渡米。後にカリフォルニア産のぶどうで自宅用にワインを作り始めました。
私は、１５歳のときに初めてワインにふれ、イタリア、スペインそしてもちろんカリフォルニアのワインを楽しく味わいながら育ちました。
知美と私は、ワインについて猛勉強を重ね、彼女はJSAのワインエキスパート認定証の授与を受けました。
また、私自身はカリフォルニア大学デービス校でワインの知識を深めワインエキスパートの認定を
SWE（The Society of Wine Educators）という協会から受けております。
Tomei is my mother's maden name originating from the hills above the city of Lucca, in the Tuscan region of Italy.
My grandparents, the Tomei's and the Velluntini's, came to the San Francisco area and began making wine using local California grapes.
I was introduced to wine at the early age of 15 and grew up enjoying wines from Italy, Spain and of course California.
Tomomi and I have had extensive training in wine and have achieved both the JSA Wine Expert Certification
as well as my education from U.C. Davis and receiving the level of Wine Expert from Society of Wine Educators.
